A device for securing and immobilizing injured or wounded professional or civilian personnel, compatible with a spinal board. It allows for the safe and controlled transport of the patient from the point of extraction to the point of evacuation.
The Octopus Rescue System is a restraint strap system designed for the safe, rapid, and controlled securing of injured, wounded, or detained personnel on a spinal board, optimizing extraction, evacuation, and transport operations in tactical, law enforcement, and emergency settings.
The system enables efficient strapping and a secure fit, preventing horizontal and vertical movement of the patient during rescue operations, medical evacuations, or operational transport from the scene to the evacuation point.
The straps on the MB10.157 model (OD green) and the MB11.030 model (black) are distinguished by an identification circle and descriptive text, making them easy to identify visually in accordance with the system’s descriptive scheme.
The following explains the restraint points and their attachment or placement: 1-point restraint, attached at hip level with a safety trident buckle; 2-point restraint, “V”-shaped placement for the right and left legs; 3-point restraint, arm restraints with an adjustable trident buckle without a safety system; 4-point: extension of the hip strap with a safety buckle (1-meter extension); 5-point: securing at the feet; 6-point: securing at the chest.
All straps are screen-printed with identifying text that clearly indicates their function and placement. All trident buckles are adjustable, ensuring a secure restraint that adapts to the subject’s build and equipment.
The device is intended for professional and operational units, including the armed forces, police forces, tactical units, emergency medical services, firefighters, rescue teams, civil defense, mountain patrols, and specialized first-response teams.
It is supplied in a transport bag measuring 13 x 22 x 9 cm, equipped with a handle and knotted drawstrings, without a transparent window or high-visibility elements, maintaining a discreet profile appropriate for use in tactical and police environments.
