Elite Bags supports Team Gandia 1 at the World Rescue Challenge 2025
From September 9 to 14, the city of Karlovac (Croatia) became the stage for one of the most important international events in the rescue and emergency response sector: the World Rescue Challenge 2025. Organized by the World Rescue Organisation (WRO) in collaboration with the Hrvatska Vatrogasna Zajednica, the event gathered 35 international rescue teams who competed in demanding extrication and trauma scenarios.
These simulations challenged participants’ technical, medical, and leadership skills in realistic road traffic accident scenarios, testing their ability to perform under pressure.
Elite Bags at the event
At Elite Bags, we are proud to have been present at this global gathering of rescue professionals. Our emergency response equipment supported Team Gandia 1, who stood out with exceptional performance.
Thanks to their outstanding training, coordination, and commitment—combined with the use of advanced rescue gear—the team achieved remarkable results:
- 2nd place overall
- 1st place in the physical entrapment category
- 2nd place as a technical rescue team
- Vicent Sala awarded Best Commander
This runner-up title at the world level reflects their preparation and effort, while highlighting the value of having specialized tools for critical rescue operations.
An event that sets a milestone
The competition was held by the Korana River, in the Aquatika natural area. This edition introduced significant updates to improve the challenge and learning experience:
- More precise medical evaluation: a second medical evaluator was added in each extrication test.
- More trauma scenarios: the number of events increased from two to three, expanding training opportunities for rescue teams.
Paul Schroeder, President of the WRO, publicly thanked local authorities and Croatian emergency services for their crucial support in making this event possible in record time.
